Pathogen Points and Battles
There's quite a few things to go over here, so let's get started.
Powering Up
Each character made on Perfect Imbalance starts off with Zero (0) Points. Gaining more power is a very simple and easy thing to do. Post. Well. When you post, each post will be graded based on the amount of words x the quality of said post. When the thread you've posted in is finished your score will be added to your Pathogen Points. This will only be in effect in RP threads. So, if you want to power up and get better at the meta-game simply make better posts. Every time your character reaches a milestone with their points, they acquire a new power or ability. The upgrades come about when you reach Five thousand and Five hundred (5,500), then Eleven thousand (11,000) and so on and so forth. For example, when you reach your first milestone, some-one who can manipulate fire will be able to create fire to manipulate, mixing Regulation and Fabrication. Or they could simply upgrade their current category, being able to Regulate something similar to what they can already use.
PM a admin once you get to this rank so they can add/edit your character profile with a section called 'Upgraded powers' Which detail how your new 'evolution' works.
Battles
The battles will play out the way you expect, person with the more points has the advantage. However there are a small number of factors which can determine how the battle plays out. Such as, if your powers element is weak against your opponents element, an obvious example being water against fire. If it is a water element versus a fire, the water will get a 1.5X increase in their Pathogen Points. Alternatively by using the three categories Offense, Defense and Utility in the Powers section you will get a 1.5X increase as well. Details stated here: https://perfectimbalance.rpg-board.net/t5-guide-to-powers#14

Re: Pathogen Points and Battles
Pathogen Points are awarded at the ended of the thread and are determined to a variety of factors The algorithm for these are locked in the staff castle safe 400 metres underground surrounded by lasers, killer badgers, drop bears and Phil the security guard. The most prominent of these factors is the word count of each post.
The General rule is longer well written post will always get more points.

With battles a victory is never guaranteed. A person with more Pathogen Points or 'PP'© Pokemon 1996 is given a small advantage in a fight (They may be able to move slightly faster than there opponent, or block a attack slightly better (this is up to the player just don't be a exploitative dick about it). If the person has 75% more PP than there opponent they are consider to have a normal advantage and can move moderately faster, block one or two attacks have slightly stronger moves (yet again this is up to the two player to decided how to PP difference plays out, admin will step in however of you start being a dick with it Ie: blocking all attacks, god modding, overpowering them constantly, ignoring their attacks and just flinching them off ) you can take hits, its not going to kill you alright one punch can kill does not apply in this universe . It generally more fun for both sides if each person can land hits on each other regardless of power and makes a much friendly and enjoyable thread.
